Becoming a new member and renewals

New Membership

LGLP invites you to participate in its liability protection program. In order to become a member of the Local Government Liability Pool, an entity will be required to complete:

A membership application and any applicable supplemental applications which request information about your operations and insurance history. Please be sure to answer every question, even if the answer is “not applicable”.
Complete and sign the Joint Powers Agreement.
Include payroll documents.
When LGLP notifies you of the contribution due, submit your check, payable to the Local Government Liability Pool, to:

Some entities may not be able to issue a check without a voucher. Please submit a voucher with the enrollment forms and it will be signed and returned to you.

Renewal Information

We have streamlined our renewal application this year to save you time. Please complete your application by May 16, 2026, to ensure continued LGLP Membership. If any item on the application does not apply to your organization, please enter “N/A”.

Deductible Information: We offer a range of deductible options from $500 to $10,000. Please note that a $1,000 minimum deductible applies to members with payroll exceeding $500,000. For members with no payroll, the deductible is $500. Note that deductibles must be paid for each claim and organizations should budget funds each year. Deductibles are only applicable if LGLP makes a claim payment.
Payroll Documents:LGLP calculates your annual contribution rate using payroll documents from the 2025 calendar year. Please upload or email copies of your organization’s W3, 1099, 943, or 944 forms.
